And the Winner is...

House...

#2

Thanks to all of you for your comments and advice. We signed a 3 year lease today.

We absolutely fell in love with the yard and the amount of space that it has. We have increased our square footage over our current place by about 2000. We are going to have to be careful to not go crazy buying furniture to fill it. A refrigerator box desk is sounding like a viable option, along with a cinderblock coffee table for the 'formal' living room. When we get into the house, we will post pictures with our stuff. But in the meantime, take a gander at these.

Backyard and pool.

We might need to paint. I'm not sure if I can live with all that blue for the next 3 years.

Beautiful...and a wonderful choice of the 3! Sorry I wasn't fast enough to get my vote in, but I would have taken house #2 also.

Quite a different story down here in LA. For $2300 (my BAH), we get a crappy little 2 BR/1 Bath. For $2500, we can get a decent-sized townhouse (2BR/2BA with laundry) 2 blocks from the beach...but its a far cry from 3500 sq ft and a pool.

Congrats!!

Dang you Air Force. Why do you have to have so many cool people that we will probably never be stationed with again?

BTW, they should give you more money for BAH and spend less on golf courses.

Go Chair Force!!

We like that show - House Hunters. They never buy the house we think that they're going to buy. Your new home looks nice. We bought a larger house a few years back - lots of storage room - it's amazing how quickly that can get filled up.
