Poor Baby!

KK did battle with the cement yesterday and it won. Along with the championship belt, it also took a piece of her front tooth, bruised her entire lip on the inside of her mouth, left a few surface wounds on her lips and a faint blueish tint around her nose. The worst part about it is that I did not notice the missing piece until this morning. That's the way to make you feel like you are doing a stellar job as a parent.

I took her to the dentist today to make sure that everything was OK. There are no exposed nerves which is great. The tooth is a little loose, so we need to keep an eye on it. We also need to watch to see if the tooth turns yellow, grey, or black... three fabulous colors for teeth, if you ask me. He also told me that she will be more prone to these types of injuries since her teeth are 'out there'. Do you mean she's buck-toothed?

She did not want to go to the dentist, but did a fabulous job when she was there. The ladies there gave her a really cute rubber duck that's holding toothpaste and a toothbrush. I'd show you, but she is sleeping with it right now. In fact, she loves it so much that when she passed a man on the way to the car, she gave her signature scowl and said, 'no man take away my ducky'. I had to giggle.

Funny that this happened just three days shy of her 2nd birthday. If you will recall, last year she fell down a set of cement stairs on her birthday.

Can't wait to see what happens next year!

The police have already been summoned by k so why not child protection as well!
Poor little thing. We fear there may be more of the same in her future.
