A Great Day

The nice thing about where we are living now is that we have a wide range of temperatures. One day it can be snowing and the next day will be sunny and in the 60s... we get to experience it all.

This past Sunday was beautiful and we all went for a long walk through the woods and down to the water.
There is a great path just a couple of streets away from our house where you get to see this...
or this... I love scenery.
When you get to the end of the path, you climb down this sturdy ladder to get to the water.
and if you're a little nervous about it, don't worry... someone will be there to help you down.
'It's OK... follow me, girl.'
Everyone had fun playing and running on the beach. Isis played fetch and even took a dip in the water. e collected rocks, as usual... our geologist in the making.
Mom and e even braved the cold water...
to retrieve this beauty.
'Can we come back again?'

Bannie says: I'm really missing you all now!! Can't wait to come and visit. It's sooooo neat that you can walk (well maybe climb cautiously down a scary, dangerous embankment) and get to the Bay from your house. I'll bring some rope and shoes with clamp-on claw like things so I don't slip. Great pic's. Way to go Ella with the big beautiful stone find.

That's so cool. That's what I really miss about living on that side of the country. We loved living in VA and all the great regional parks and hiking in the woods.

Have you ever tried geocaching? It's pretty popular in MD. I bet you there was at least one geocache hidden in those woods you walked through. Geocaches are weatherproof boxes hidden in the woods with toys and collectible items for trade (coins, etc). The GPS coordinates for the geocaches are posted on the geocaching website (www.geocaching.com). Your girls mike like it.

Looks like a fabulous day! I am a bit jealous of your proximity to the water. This move is the first time we've been away from the water since we've been married :)
